Fun take on a Cult Classic

Okay, first off, I am a big fan of the original movie "The Wicker Man", so this book immediately caught my attention. Then, when I read it, I was a little taken aback by the subject matter. Although, given the popularity of "Fifty Shades of Grey", I have to say, forays into the whole D/s, domestic discipline, and B/D subculture are no longer taboo. Also, I love that the main character, Jane, is NOT a weak woman. She is modern, determined, powerful, and goes after what she wants. It doesn't matter if what she wants is a criminal, a clue, or a man as strong as she is, she goes after it. And, she's also strong enough to lower her defenses and admit to what she wants from a realtionship. That takes true bravery and guts! Good for her. Yeah, check this book out. It's funny, exciting, and quite sexy.

I can't say it is bad. Nor It is awesome. It was different than I thought it would be. And surprised me in the end. Not a lot of books do that.
